Frequently asked questions

Which record types can I look up?
A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS, CNAME and SOA — covering IPv4/IPv6 addresses, mail servers, verification/SPF records, name servers, aliases and zone authority info for any domain.
Why do the results differ from what I see with `dig` or `nslookup` locally?
DNS results can vary slightly depending on which resolver answers the query and local caching — this tool queries DNS directly from the server, so results reflect what's currently published, though propagation delays after a recent change can still cause temporary differences.
Can I look up any domain, or just ones I own?
Any public domain — DNS records are public information, so you can check records for your own domain or verify a third party's mail/DNS setup.
Is the domain I search for logged or stored?
No lookup history or account is kept — each query simply fetches current public DNS records and returns them.
Do I need to install anything or sign up?
No. It runs from any browser — no software install, no account, no email required.
