How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on what is inside the file. PDFs full of scanned pages or high-resolution photos can shrink dramatically — often 50-90% — while text-only PDFs with no embedded images will barely change, since there is nothing large left to recompress.
What's the difference between low, medium and high compression?
Low compression keeps images close to their original quality with a smaller size reduction. High compression recompresses images more aggressively for the smallest possible file, at some cost to image sharpness. Medium is a balance of the two — the best default for most documents.
Will compressing reduce text quality or make my PDF blurry?
No. Only the embedded images (photos, scans) are recompressed — the text stays sharp, selectable, and searchable exactly as it was.
Is my PDF uploaded or stored anywhere?
Your file is processed to produce the compressed download and is not kept afterward — there is no account, no storage, and no one else can access what you upload.
