Which platform limits does it check against?
X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Instagram captions, SMS segments, and common SEO title/meta-description lengths — the counter shows how much room is left (or how far over) for each as you type.
Why does the SMS count show multiple messages?
SMS is sent in 160-character segments (or 70 for messages containing non-GSM/Unicode characters like emoji) — going over one segment splits the message into more, which the tool reflects in the count.
Does it count words and lines as well as characters?
Yes — live character, word and line counts update together as you type, alongside the per-platform limit bars.
Is my text uploaded or stored anywhere?
No. Counting happens entirely in your browser as you type — nothing is sent to a server or saved. No account is required.
